Source: Mehr News
The head of Iran's International Transport Association warned on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (7 Mehr 1405), that export trucks are being held up for 17 to 20 days at the country's border crossings, sharply raising shipping costs, according to Donya-e-Eqtesad. Mehr News Agency, citing the same warning, reported that the prolonged delays are putting Iran's export markets at risk of being lost to competitors. Neither report specified the cause of the extended border-clearance times.
