Twelfth Well of South Pars Phase 11 Completed as Test Flow Begins

Keyvan Tariqati, head of the South Pars Phase 11 development project, said on Saturday, September 26, 2026, according to the Oil Ministry's news site, that drilling, completion and perforation of the phase's twelfth well have been finished successfully and that test flow has begun after the well column was lightened with nitrogen.

He said the well's output is being monitored continuously and it is expected to reach its nominal production capacity in the coming days once test flow and acidizing are complete. Phase 11 is the newest development project in the South Pars field shared with Qatar, awarded to Petropars under the new model of oil contracts, and adding output there matters ahead of peak winter gas demand.
