1,540 rental housing units to be handed over in Tehran province by year end, with registration opening in the coming weeks

The head of the Roads and Urban Development Department for Tehran province said on Monday, 5 Mordad 1405 (27 July 2026), that 1,540 rental housing units will be completed and handed over to eligible applicants in the cities of Tehran, Parand, Qarchak and Andisheh by the end of the Iranian year 1405.
Reza Khaleghi said units under the scheme in Tehran and Qarchak are currently being finished and are at the stage of installing fittings such as taps, boiler packages and cabinets. Registration for eligible applicants in the city and province of Tehran will begin in the coming weeks, he said.
Setting out the eligibility rules, Khaleghi explained that couples may register if they fall within income deciles one to six and if no more than five years have passed since their marriage. Not owning a home has also been listed among the conditions for registering under the scheme.
