Reza Khaleghi, director general of roads and urban development for Tehran province, said on Saturday, 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), that the platform for the province's housing schemes will go live by the end of this week.
He said provincial platforms are being opened gradually and that the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is activating them province by province. According to him, the units that are ready are scattered across the province and include areas such as Gilavand, Shahriar and Robat Karim, with some projects inside the city of Tehran itself.
Rental housing is one of the government's instruments for easing rent pressure, and the registration timetable matters for tenants in Tehran province, the country's most sought after rental market. Official data put monthly rent inflation in Tir 1405 at 2.3 percent, below the 3.1 percent headline rate for the same month.
