Binance Invests 100 Million Dollars in Circle, Commits to Promoting USDC Under a Five Year Deal

23 September 2026 · 15 days ago

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has bought a stake in Circle, issuer of the USDC stablecoin, through a 100 million dollar investment. According to documents Circle filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, 1 Mehr 1405 (September 22, 2026), reported by ArzDigital, the company transferred 1.24 million Class A shares to Binance in a private placement at 80.84 dollars per share, a price set at a discount to Circle's market value.

Alongside the investment, the two companies signed a five year agreement under which Binance, in exchange for financial incentives, has committed to promoting and marketing USDC across its trading platform. Per the filing, Binance is barred from selling, transferring or hedging the shares for two years, though it holds voting rights over them.
