Bitcoin held above $64,000 in trading on Sunday, 26 July 2026, changing hands at $64,502, up about 0.76 percent from the previous day. Traders are positioning for the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision on Wednesday, and a sizeable block of options bets targets a move to $72,000 by the end of July.
According to a wrap of Monday's Asian session on 27 July, risk-off sentiment across crypto markets has eased as the pause in strikes between the United States and Iran holds and talks continue in Oman. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple ended last week up more than 1, 4 and 1 percent respectively, with Bitcoin recording its fourth consecutive weekly gain.
The Federal Open Market Committee meets on 28 and 29 July, and markets expect the benchmark rate to be held in the 3.50 to 3.75 percent range.
