Bitcoin traded back above $81,000 in Friday morning Asia trading on September 4, 2026, rising about 3.83 percent over 24 hours to $80,744, according to Donya e Eqtesad citing CoinDesk data. The CME FedWatch tool now shows traders pricing the odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike this month roughly even with the odds of no change, down from above 63 percent in recent days. Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he would support holding rates steady if price pressures keep easing. US spot bitcoin ETFs recorded about $277 million in net inflows on Thursday. Among the top ten cryptocurrencies, Zcash led gains with a 14.6 percent jump over 24 hours, while Ethereum rose 4.06 percent.
