Bitcoin Miners' Revenue Tops $1 Billion in August
3 September 2026 · last month
According to Arzdigital, bitcoin network miners earned revenue of about 1.008 billion dollars in August 2026, their best monthly performance since May. Of that total, about 1.001 billion dollars came from block rewards and 7.1 million dollars from transaction fees, with the increase driven mainly by bitcoin's 24.95 percent price gain in August.
Even so, the "hashprice" index, which measures daily revenue per petahash of processing power, held at around 38.86 dollars, still reflecting the economic pressure the recent halving has placed on miners. For hashprice to reach a healthier level of 100 dollars, bitcoin's price would need to climb to around 198,950 dollars, a gap that has pushed some large mining companies to diversify revenue by offering cloud computing services for artificial intelligence.
