According to Arzdigital, after the US Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 3.75 to 4 percent at its meeting on Friday, September 18, 2026 (27 Shahrivar 1405), Bitcoin's price returned above the $80,000 channel, briefly trading above $81,200 earlier in today's session. Sahmino's own data showed Bitcoin at $80,344 as of 11:30 a.m. today, down 1.23 percent from the previous day. Arthur Hayes, the founder of BitMEX, wrote on X that the liquidity flowing from the rate hike, not new regulation, is the real driver of the rally in financial assets, and warned the market could still see a pullback to as low as $50,000 before reaching longer term targets.
