Free Market Dollar Hits 270,150 Tomans in Tehran Today as Euro Also Jumps

The free-market US dollar in Tehran rose on the morning of Sunday, 12 Mehr 1405 (October 4, 2026), climbing to 270,150 tomans from the previous day's opening rate, according to Donya-e-Eqtesad, which recorded the figure at 11:11 am local time. The euro also continued its upward path.

Two other pricing sources corroborated the jump: Alanchand.com quoted the dollar's buy and sell rates at the same hour at 268,700 and 271,400 tomans respectively, while Tgju.org put today's highest recorded dollar price at 268,520 tomans and reported a 9.43 percent weekly rise versus Monday, 6 Mehr. The figure marks a continued climb from the 263,700 tomans reported for the morning of Saturday, 11 Mehr.
