Tehran's currency and gold markets moved higher on Saturday 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405). The free market dollar reached 194,270 tomans by midday, up on the previous working day, and the dollar rate at the Currency and Gold Exchange Centre was also set higher than the day before.
In the gold market, a gram of 18 carat gold rose to 18,782,100 tomans and the Emami coin traded around 188 million tomans. On the same day, spot gold was quoted at 4,043 dollars, down about 5 dollars from the previous session, meaning the rise in domestic prices came through the exchange rate rather than from the global market.
Sahmino's own price board recorded the free market dollar at 194,520 tomans, up 1.1 percent, 18 carat gold at 18,813,000 tomans, up 0.8 percent, and the Emami coin at 188,505,000 tomans, as of 11:26 the same day.
