Dollar and Coin Prices Rise on the Last Working Day of the Week

Tehran's currency and coin market moved higher on the morning of Thursday, September 24, 2026 (2 Mehr 1405). According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the Emami coin traded at 239.2 million tomans at around 11:15, after the same outlet had reported it at 237 million tomans at 9:00. The price site Alanchand recorded the Emami coin at 241 million tomans at 11:30 the same day, up 1.90 percent from the previous day.

Donya-e-Eqtesad reported the open-market dollar at 235,120 tomans, higher than the previous day's closing rate, while Alanchand listed buying and selling rates of 234,150 and 236,500 tomans at 11:30. A gram of 18-carat gold rose 0.82 percent to about 24,158,000 tomans at the same hour, while global gold traded around $4,280 an ounce.
The Tehran Stock Exchange does not trade on Thursdays, and these figures reflect open-market prices up to midday on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
