Gold and Coin Prices Rise in Tehran, Coin Nears 260 Million Tomans

Tehran's gold and coin market rose again on Thursday, October 1, 2026 (9 Mehr 1405), extending a multi day rally. According to Mehr News Agency (reported at 13:16), 18 karat gold reached 25,596,800 tomans per gram and the new design coin reached 259,400,000 tomans.

Live data from price tracker tgju.org showed the Emami coin climbing to around 260 million tomans and 18 karat gold nearing 25,600,000 tomans per gram by 15:00 the same day, while global spot gold traded around 4,170 to 4,180 dollars an ounce in the same window. The rise came as the US dollar eased slightly in global markets.
