Iran's gold and coin market turned higher again on Monday, 5 Mordad 1405 (27 July 2026), after retreating the previous day. Based on prices announced by the Gold and Jewellery Union as of that afternoon, the Emami coin stood at 183,500,000 tomans, up 1,900,000 tomans from late trading the day before. The Bahar Azadi coin rose 2,500,000 tomans to 180,000,000 tomans, the biggest gain among the coin denominations.
In the same report, the half coin rose 1,300,000 tomans to 94,000,000 tomans and the quarter coin rose 1,100,000 tomans to 52,900,000 tomans, while the one gram coin was unchanged at 27,000,000 tomans. A mithqal of gold traded at 79,300,000 tomans and one gram of 18 carat gold at 18,306,000 tomans. Earlier the same morning, 18 carat gold had been reported at about 17,960,000 tomans.
Two external drivers fed the move: spot gold rose to about $4,097 an ounce in trading the same day, and the domestic dollar rate gained roughly 2,500 tomans from the previous day's last cash trades, reaching the 188,000 toman range.
