Iran says it struck US bases in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait; Jordan reports intercepting the missiles and drones

Iran's army said on Friday, July 24, 2026, that it had struck US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait with drones and missiles in retaliation for continued US attacks. According to the statement, the targets included the Isa Air Base in Bahrain, the Al-Azraq base in Jordan and several US camps in Kuwait. Agence France-Presse reported an explosion and warning sirens in Bahrain early Friday.
Jordan's army said its air defenses intercepted seven missiles and six drones launched from Iran, with no casualties or material damage. The exchanges followed the 13th consecutive night of US strikes on Iran and kept elevated the risk of a wider regional conflict and concern over the security of Persian Gulf energy and shipping routes that matter directly to Iran's markets.
