27 August 2026 | 2 months ago

Keramat Veiskarami, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, called social media rumors about a gasoline shortage baseless on Thursday, 5 Shahrivar 1405 (August 27, 2026). According to Ecoiran, citing Tasnim News Agency and separately carried by Boursenews, he said average daily gasoline distribution in Mordad (July/August) was 138 million liters, rising to 145 million liters over the past three days and reaching 150 million liters nationwide on Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar.

Veiskarami stressed that gasoline supply remains stable and is running at maximum production, transfer and distribution capacity, and asked citizens not to return to filling stations without genuine need, citing recent long queues at some locations.
