Nightly Tether Trading Ban at Iranian Exchanges Extended Through Tuesday

Iranian cryptocurrency exchanges said on Sunday, October 4, 2026 (12 Mehr 1405), that the nightly halt on Tether to toman trading, which had been due to end that day, has been extended through Tuesday, October 6 (14 Mehr). According to ArzDigital, the Tether to toman market will remain closed every night from 9pm to 9am, and the daily purchase cap of 2,000 USDT per user remains in place. The exchanges said the move follows instructions from the relevant authorities implementing Central Bank policy. Open orders in the restricted market are automatically cancelled at 9pm, though conditions announced differ slightly across platforms, with some notices describing the halt as lasting until further notice.
