Tehran Stock Exchange's Main Index Tops 6.5 Million Points

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (Shakhes-e Kol) crossed 6.5 million points on Saturday, August 29, 2026 (7 Shahrivar 1405), reaching 6,516,723 points as of 11:29 local time, based on data recorded by Sahmino, up 130,148 points from its last recorded level. The equal weight index also rose 25,718 points to 1,828,492. According to Khabaronline, the main index stood at 6,510,268 points as of 9:59 the same day, with Tehran Stock Exchange trade value around 18,965 billion tomans and market capitalization around 186,089 billion tomans by that time.

Farabourse's own index also gained 654.23 points to reach 51,333.76. The simultaneous rise in both the main and equal weight indices indicates demand was not confined to a handful of large caps, with small and mid cap symbols also participating in the rally.
