Tehran's Main Index Enters the 6.2 Million Point Range for the First Time

Tehran's main stock index (TEDPIX) entered the 6.2 million point range for the first time in mid session trading on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (3 Shahrivar 1405). According to Donya e Eqtesad at 11:18am Tehran time, the index rose more than 105,000 points (1.73 percent) to 6,205,634, and Tehran Stock Exchange system data showed it continuing to 6,216,935 by 11:29am. The equal weight index also rose more than 21,000 points (1.23 percent) to 1,761,000.
Donya e Eqtesad reported that 84 percent of listed symbols traded higher and 16 percent lower. The top five buy order rows totaled about 15,300 billion tomans against roughly 1,700 billion tomans on the sell side, pointing to demand outweighing supply. Equity funds saw net inflows while fixed income funds saw outflows. A full session report will be published after trading closes.
