US 10-year Treasury yield eases to 4.54% on safe-haven demand
10 July 2026 | 3 months ago
The yield on the US 10-year Treasury note eased to around 4.54% on Friday, July 10 (19 Tir), down 0.02 percentage points from the prior session, marking a second consecutive day of declines. According to Trading Economics, lower global oil prices have eased inflation concerns somewhat and reduced pressure for more aggressive Federal Reserve tightening. The move comes alongside reports that the United States and Iran will continue peace negotiations despite the recent escalation in hostilities, a pattern consistent with the typical safe-haven behavior seen in Treasury markets during periods of geopolitical uncertainty.
