Choose an underlying to compare its option contracts, calculate a scenario or stage an expiry strategy. Market quotes, model values and your entered premiums remain separate.

From a portfolio holding's details, Strategies for this holding opens this board with that underlying selected when it has a current live option chain. A holding without a supported chain has no strategy shortcut. Opening the chain places no order and adds no staged leg.

Set the chain and table

Changing the underlying clears that chain's filters and strategy draft. Call or put, moneyness and expiry narrow the chain; dates state their contract counts. Table view chooses Prices and liquidity, Pricing and Greeks or Expiry and holding returns. Column layout exposes other available readings, while supplemental filters apply on Apply.

How to read this table opens the chain's reading guide in a dialog. Read the complete explanation, then Close or Escape returns to the same guide control. The guide opens on request at every experience level and preserves selected contracts, filters and the strategy draft.

The table shows at most twelve columns, including its fixed strike and contract identity. Remove a visible column before adding another at the limit. Move, pin and sort controls remain available. A previously saved wider layout opens as a limited view with a notice; its saved record changes only when you explicitly save. Other available fields remain in Add columns, and this display limit does not change export allowances.

A starting premium uses a positive last trade or a valid two-sided midpoint, with its source stated. A one-sided quote does not supply a midpoint and model theoretical value does not become a trade. Missing volatility, rate, price or contract terms can withhold a calculation; an absent input is not zero.

Stage all legs before interpreting payoff

Select contracts and Add selected to strategy, then choose long or short, premium per underlying unit and whole contract quantity. Editor pages do not exclude other staged legs from totals. Removing a checked staged contract removes that leg; Clear strategy removes all legs.

A combined expiry payoff needs one expiry, known sizes and complete inputs. Explicit zero premium is valid. Mixed expiries need the provided keep-one-expiry action. Unknown size is not one. The payoff is at expiry before fees and taxes, with bounded or unbounded profit, loss and break-even stated. Quick-build templates replace the draft only when their required contracts are available.

Calculate and check assumptions

A contract's Calculate or the manual calculator opens the on-page scenario. Edit the inputs, Compute, then read the focused result. Editing makes an old result stale; Reset restores every initial input and cancels pending work. Validation retains a correctable draft.

Time uses recorded trading sessions and holiday coverage. Advanced analysis holds smile, history and assumptions. Value it today adds a separate model line and position Greeks; changing legs makes it stale. Missing margin has a reason instead of a fabricated figure. Local strategies and calculators place no orders and do not call an AI model, though server requests use their declared allowance.
