BitMine bought 10,399 ether and repurchased 4.5 million of its own shares

BitMine said in a disclosure reported early on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, that it had purchased 10,399 units of ether (ETH), increasing the value of its digital asset holdings.
The company also announced it had repurchased 4.5 million of its own shares. Buying a crypto asset and repurchasing stock at the same time is generally read as management signalling that it views both as undervalued.
The move comes while the crypto market is under pressure: bitcoin was trading near $64,000 early on Wednesday, August 5, and the Coinbase premium index, a gauge of US demand strength, has stayed negative for 78 consecutive days. Corporate purchases of this kind are one of the remaining sources of demand in the ether market.
