In Tehran's free currency market on Friday (2 Mordad 1405, 24 July 2026), the US dollar traded near 193,100 tomans and the euro near 220,700 tomans. Despite the intensifying US-Iran military confrontation, the dollar rate has fluctuated within this range in recent days without a fresh jump.
At the same time, the domestic gold and coin market moved higher: the Tehran gold benchmark (mazaneh) reached about 81.9 million tomans and the Emami coin about 189 million tomans. Tehran's official stock exchange is closed on Thursdays and Fridays, and these rates refer to the informal free market.
