Housing Ministry: Registration for 'Ashian' Rental Housing Plan to Begin in Tehran and Mashhad During Government Week

Reza Farhadzadeh, director general of the Housing Planning and Monitoring Office at Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, said on Monday, 19 Mordad 1405 (10 August 2026), that registration for the "Ashian" rental housing plan is likely to open in Tehran alongside Government Week, which begins on 24 Mordad (15 August 2026). He said registration for the broader rental housing scheme has already taken place in 15 Iranian cities, and that the Ashian plan will supply about 2,500 residential units for the metropolitan areas of Tehran and Mashhad. Farhadzadeh said the ministry is aiming to supply as many units as possible under the plan in the two cities.
