The head of parliament's Article 90 Committee said on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, that managing land prices is parliament's strategy for containing the housing crisis.
According to him, the committee will actively work to remove barriers to production and identify bottlenecks, applying its capacity to accelerate construction, control the market and ease citizens' access to housing.
Iran's housing market has faced a sharp rise in construction costs in recent months. At the same time, eviction orders against tenants have been banned through the end of the Iranian year in March 2027, and the 25% cap on rent increases is being monitored through the Khodnevis platform.
