Central Bank to Issue First Standard Parallel Forward Coin Notes With 7 Percent Guaranteed Return

Iran's Central Bank said it will issue the country's first Standard Parallel Forward Coin Notes on 18 Shahrivar 1405 (September 9, 2026). The three month notes let buyers purchase a coin at its price discovered on the issuance day and claim its value at maturity, with a guaranteed minimum return: holders can exercise a put option to sell at maturity for up to 7 percent above the issuance day price. Offering details have not yet been published by the Central Bank or the Iran Mercantile Exchange.
