TCMB Quarterly Inflation Report 2026-III

Turkey CPI report - July 2026 data

Turkey's statistics office (TurkStat) published its Consumer Price Index report for July 2026 data on Monday 3 August 2026 (12 Mordad 1405). Annual inflation eased to 31.75% from 32.11% in June, while the monthly rise came in at 1.78%, accelerating from 0.99% in June. Both readings landed slightly below the Anadolu survey forecast of 31.8% annual and 1.82% monthly, and the 12 month moving average stood at 31.90%.

Iraq and Turkiye sign one-year Ceyhan crude pipeline transport agreement

Iraq's oil minister signed a one-year agreement with the Turkish side on 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), setting a minimum crude transport rate of 750,000 barrels per day through the Iraq to Turkiye pipeline to the Port of Ceyhan. Iraq's prime minister said the same day that Iraqi and Turkish companies would begin operations under the deal. It stands until a wider framework covering oil, electricity and water is completed.

TCMB Monetary Policy Committee meeting - July 2026

Turkey's central bank (TCMB) Monetary Policy Committee met on 23 July 2026 (1 Mordad 1405) and held its policy rate (the one-week repo auction rate) at 37% for a fourth consecutive meeting. The overnight lending rate was kept at 40% and the overnight borrowing rate at 35.5%, with the Committee noting energy prices remain volatile and elevated. Central Bank of Iraq cuts traveler dollar allowance to $2,000
