The declines came alongside a drop in the full Emami coin to 180 million tomans and a pullback in 18-karat gold, extending the week-closing downturn in Iran's gold and coin market. Domestic coin prices continue to track both the free-market dollar rate and the global gold price.

Emami Gold Coin Slips to 180 Million Tomans as the Week Closes
The Emami gold coin fell to 180 million tomans in Tehran's free market on Friday, July 10, 2026 (19 Tir), retreating after nearing a 182 million toman peak the previous day, Thursday 18 Tir. According to EcoIran, 18 karat gold (750) traded at 17,867,000 tomans per gram and 24 karat gold at 23,821,000 tomans on the same day. The Bahar Azadi coin changed hands at 176,500,000 tomans, and the Emami coin's bubble premium eased to 5,101,000 tomans. Taadol newspaper separately reported the same 180 million toman price for the Emami coin that day.

Emami Gold Coin Tops 182 Million Tomans for the First Time
The full Emami gold coin in Tehran rose 1,520,000 tomans from the previous day to reach 182,010,000 tomans on Thursday, July 9, 2026 (18 Tir), crossing the 182 million mark for the first time. According to Tabnak, the half coin rose 1,490,000 tomans to 95,000,000 tomans and the quarter coin rose 500,000 tomans to 54,500,000 tomans, while the gram coin was unchanged at 27,000,000 tomans. The rise in the dollar rate and global gold price, along with political and security risk from the escalating Iran-US conflict, were cited as the main drivers of the jump.
