Poultry Union Head Announces What He Calls a Reasonable Egg Carton Price

According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, citing Khabaronline, Hamidreza Kashani, chairman of Iran's Mihan Poultry Farmers Union, said on Friday, September 4, 2026 (13 Shahrivar 1405), that egg production costs currently exceed the sale price, and that a reasonable retail price would be 250,000 to 260,000 tomans per kilogram, equal to 500,000 to 520,000 tomans per 30 egg carton and 19,000 to 20,000 tomans per egg.
Kashani said the farm gate price is currently about 200,000 tomans per kilogram, which is 70,000 tomans below the production cost and 30,000 tomans below the Agriculture Ministry's guidance price. He said egg production is expected to reach 115,000 tonnes in Shahrivar (roughly late August to late September), about 15,000 tonnes more than domestic demand, while egg exports have fallen 30,000 to 40,000 tonnes from a year earlier.

Central Bank Governor Reports Over 4,000 Trillion Tomans in Facilities Paid to the Economy
According to Ecoiran, Central Bank of Iran Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati told the 36th Islamic Banking Conference, held on 10 Shahrivar 1405 (September 1, 2026), that more than 4,000 trillion tomans in facilities have been disbursed to various parts of the economy since the start of the Iranian year, of which 2,650 trillion tomans went to productive sectors.
