According to Nournews, relayed by Donya-e-Eqtesad at 11:47 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, ordinary applicants who missed out on Saipa's previous sales rounds can register, without a lottery, starting 10 a.m. Sunday, September 1 (1 Shahrivar), for leftover capacity from the family-support and youth-population program. Registration runs through saipa.iranecar.com.

Under Iran's family-support and youth-population law, automakers must allocate half their sales capacity to mothers with two or more children; the remaining capacity is now open to ordinary applicants. Saipa is offering the Quick GX-L, Quick S, Aria and Pars Nova at non-final prices, with delivery due between September 2026 and October/November 2027. Auto site Khodrobank also carried the same plan's details under the headline "Non-lottery participatory production sale terms for Saipa products, for ordinary applicants," with a September 1405 pricing table.

Iran's Car Market Splits in Two: Domestic Models Correct Lower While Imports Keep Climbing

Iran's auto market showed two different patterns on Saturday, September 5, 2026 (14 Shahrivar 1405): some domestic models entered a price correction while a large share of imported cars kept climbing. According to Ecoiran, the automatic Peugeot 207 Panorama fell from 3 billion tomans to 2.95 billion tomans (down 50 million tomans) and the Dena Plus Turbo fell from 3.18 billion to 3.07 billion tomans (down about 3.5 percent), even as the free market dollar rate stayed in last week's elevated range over the same period. By contrast, among imported models, the Kia K5's price rose from 9.65 billion tomans on 11 Shahrivar to 11.4 billion tomans on 14 Shahrivar, a roughly 18.1 percent jump in just three days. The Audi Q5 Black rose 1 billion tomans to 14.5 billion, and the Toyota Camry Limited rose 200 million tomans to 15 billion. Ecoiran described the divergence as a possible sign that higher priced imported cars are gradually returning to their role as a store of value, even as weak demand weighs on domestic models.

Peugeot 207 Panorama Price Rises 190 Million Tomans Since Start of Shahrivar

According to Khabaronline, Iran's vehicle market kept climbing on Saturday, September 5, 2026 (14 Shahrivar 1405). Per the report, the automatic Peugeot 207 Panorama has risen 190 million tomans since the start of Shahrivar, reaching 2.95 billion tomans. The automatic Dena Plus has gained 70 million tomans over the past three days to reach 3.22 billion tomans, and the Quick S has risen 90 million tomans over the past two weeks to reach 1.3 billion tomans. Khabaronline, citing Tejaratnews, reported that automakers Iran Khodro and Saipa have said consumer prices for their products will rise because of higher costs tied to end of life vehicle scrappage certificates, a factor that could add fresh momentum to the market's upward trend in coming days. Per the report, the simultaneous jump in gold and currency prices, including the free market dollar's move above 221,000 tomans, has been a main driver of the price increases.

Iran Khodro Raises Vehicle Prices From Today

According to Bourse News, Iran Khodro said in a notice that consumer prices for its products are rising from today, Thursday, September 3, 2026 (12 Shahrivar 1405), due to higher costs for vehicle scrappage certificates and registration. The change follows an amended Article 10 regulation of the auto industry organization law and higher plate registration fees. Under the notice, buyers must pay the price difference before an invoice or plate can be issued, and no invoice or registration will be processed without that payment. Vehicles pending since 11 Shahrivar 1405 will be calculated using a 35 million toman scrappage certificate value. Buyers replacing scrapped vehicles accepted from 22 Ordibehesht 1405 onward will also fall under the new price schedule.
