Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (TEDPIX) rose 68,399 points in Tuesday's session (June 30, 2026 / 9 Tir 1405) to close at 5,127,628, reclaiming the 5.1 million point mark, the biggest single market story heading into today. Meanwhile global spot gold continues to trade below $4,000, well off its January 2026 record. Below is a rundown of all eight markets, with the source and as-of date for every figure.

For markets not yet trading in the early hours of Wednesday morning (the bourse, free-market currency, cars), the figures above are the last reading from the prior trading session (Tuesday, June 30, 2026 / 9 Tir 1405). For round-the-clock markets (global assets, crypto), the latest available reading as of this morning is used.

2. Currency

Tehran's free-market US dollar rate traded around 172,100 toman on the evening of Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (9 Tir 1405), up roughly 0.9% from the prior day (source: TGJU, broadly corroborated by Navasan and Eghtesad Online). Meanwhile the official "agreed" (توافقی) dollar rate at Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center stood at 147,305 toman (sell) and 145,979 toman (buy) for the same date; the agreed euro rate was 168,271 toman (sell) and 166,756 toman (buy) (source: Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center, via Taadol newspaper). The gap between the free-market and official dollar rate has widened to about 24,800 toman (roughly 16.8%), a structural feature of Iran's dual exchange-rate system rather than a sudden move.

3. Gold & Coin

18-karat gold traded around 16,783,000 toman per gram on the evening of June 30, 2026 (source: Fararu, with a similar trend at EcoIran). A mesghal of gold was reported around 72,400,000 toman. In the coin market, the Emami coin traded at 170,510,000 toman, the half coin at 88,500,000 toman, and the quarter coin at 51,710,000 toman. The coin premium (the gap between market price and intrinsic value) has been reported in the range of roughly 5.5 to 5.7 million toman in recent days of Tir 1405 (June/July). Globally, spot gold trades in a range of $3,984 to $4,000 per ounce; that's about 28% below its all-time record from January 2026 (around $5,595), largely on a stronger US dollar and market expectations around Federal Reserve rate policy.

4. Stocks

In Tuesday's session (June 30, 2026 / 9 Tir 1405), TEDPIX rose 68,399 points (about 1.35%) to close at 5,127,628, reclaiming the 5.1 million point mark (source: news reporting based on TSETMC data). The equal-weighted index closed at 1,341,693 points. Value of trades for the session was reported in a range of 26 to 29.5 trillion toman across different outlets, reported here as a range given the source discrepancy. Among the symbols with the biggest positive influence on the index were FMELI (National Iranian Copper Industries), SHAPNA (Bandar Abbas Refinery), SHABANDAR, FARS (Fars Petrochemical), and MELLAT Bank.

5. Crypto

Bitcoin traded around $58,500 globally (as of midday US Eastern time, June 30, 2026), down about 0.5% over 24 hours (source: CoinDesk, broadly corroborated by CoinMarketCap). Ethereum traded around $1,560, down roughly 0.5% to 1%. Domestically, Tether (USDT) traded against the toman at about 172,000 to 173,000 toman (June 30, 2026, based on TGJU and domestic exchanges); this figure naturally embeds the free-market dollar rate, since USDT is typically priced off the free market on domestic platforms.

6. Steel & Iron

Rebar across various sizes and mills traded between about 59,000 and 65,700 toman per kilogram over June 28 to 30, 2026 (source: physical-market reporting such as Ahan Online and Taadol newspaper). I-beam prices spanned a wide range of roughly 56,500 to 89,000 toman per kilogram depending on size and mill. Black steel sheet was reported in a range of 86,000 to 115,000 toman per kilogram depending on thickness. Market participants cited currency volatility and cautious pricing behavior by some mills as drivers of these moves.

7. Cars

The car market has seen a notable pullback in demand and some convergence between factory and market prices in early Tir (late June). The automatic Dena Plus traded around 2.655 billion toman on June 30, 2026, down more than 100 million toman from the start of Khordad (late May/June). The manual Tara V1 Plus traded around 1.94 billion toman and the Peugeot 207 around 1.62 billion toman; both were down several tens of millions of toman from the prior day (source: Fararu and Rokna, June 30, 2026). As an example of the factory-to-market gap, the Saipa Quick S, with a factory price of about 733 million toman, sells on the free market for roughly 1.175 to 1.22 billion toman, a market premium of about 60 to 65% over the factory price (source: Khodro45 and Hamrah Mechanic, June 29, 2026).

8. Building Materials

The bagged cement market was described as little changed on June 30, 2026. Sofian (Type 2) cement traded around 281,000 toman per bag, Saveh cement around 253,000 toman, and Abyek cement around 255,000 toman (source: Taadol newspaper). Cement deposit certificates on the Iran Mercantile Exchange trade with a 5% daily price band and in lot sizes of 10 to 100 tons.

9. Global Backdrop

Brent crude traded in a range of $73.2 to $73.6 per barrel and WTI in a range of $69 to $71 per barrel (June 29 to 30, 2026); concerns over shipping safety through the Strait of Hormuz following recent regional tensions have added to oil-price volatility, though some of that concern eased as diplomatic talks resumed. The US Dollar Index (DXY) traded in a range of 101.2 to 101.3, near its highest level in several years. Spot gold, as noted above, traded in a range of $3,984 to $4,000. In global equities, US indices had a strong first half of 2026 (the S&P 500 up more than 9.5% and the Dow up nearly 8.9% year to date), while Asian markets were mixed on Wednesday morning: Japan's Nikkei edged higher while South Korea's KOSPI and China's Shanghai Composite fell.

10. What to Watch Today

  • Daily rebar, I-beam, and cement deposit-certificate offerings on the Iran Mercantile Exchange.
  • The official "agreed" currency rate to be published by Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center at the start of today's trading.
  • How TEDPIX behaves in early trading today after reclaiming the 5.1 million point mark.
  • An upcoming capital-market holiday on Monday, July 6, 2026 (15 Tir 1405), worth noting for trading-calendar planning in the coming weeks.

The items above are presented purely as things worth observing in the days ahead, not as advice to buy, sell, or take any trading action.
