Bank Melli Iran deadline to clear remaining customer account discrepancies
Bank Melli Iran said on Monday 3 August 2026 (12 Mordad 1405) that discrepancies in some customers' accounts and transactions, which arose after a disruption to its banking systems, will be corrected by Saturday 8 August 2026 (17 Mordad 1405). The bank said technical and operational work to stabilise its systems is continuing. Bank Melli Iran is the country's largest state owned bank and handles part of the government's payments.
