China GDP - Q2 2026 preliminary estimate
China's National Bureau of Statistics reported on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 that the economy grew 4.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, the slowest quarterly pace since late 2022 and below both the market forecast (4.5%) and the first-quarter rate (5.0%). First-half growth came in at 4.7% and quarter-on-quarter growth at 0.9%. Slowing momentum in the world's second-largest economy weighs on commodity and emerging-market sentiment relevant to Iran's trade and gold flows.
