Eurozone flash HICP inflation estimate - July 2026
Eurostat published its flash estimate of eurozone Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) inflation for July 2026 on July 31. Annual inflation came in at 2.9%, in line with market expectations and up from 2.8% in June, remaining above the European Central Bank's 2% target. The rise was driven mainly by energy inflation accelerating to 10.0% from 8.5%, while services inflation edged up to 3.3% and core inflation reached 2.5%.
