Iran Customs delegated authority for temporary import extensions expires
A circular from the technical deputy of Iran Customs, reported on 5 August 2026, lets executive customs offices extend temporary import permits for passenger cars, vehicles carrying a carnet de passage, and road building and mining machinery until the end of Shahrivar 1405. It also delegates extensions of temporary import permits under Article 51 of the Customs Affairs Act and temporary export permits for goods other than vehicles. The delegation lapses on 22 September 2026 unless renewed.
