Iran's central bank offered, for the first time, standard parallel salaf bonds backed by full Emami gold coins (ticker "Askeh 2") through the Iran Mercantile Exchange on Wednesday, September 9, 2026: 100,000 coin units, three month maturity, physical delivery or a 7 percent return at maturity, or an earlier sale at the day's coin price. As of that afternoon, the central bank had registered its sell order at 235.7 million tomans per coin.
