For a Sixth Straight Day, Tehran's Main Index Sets a Fresh Record

On Saturday, September 12, 2026 (21 Shahrivar 1405), the first trading day of the week, Tehran Stock Exchange's main index (TEDPIX) rose 2.18 percent, gaining more than 155,000 points, to close at a fresh record high of 7,277,556 points. According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the index climbed to about 7,272,000 points in early trading, pulled back to around 7,236,000 points as selling picked up, then rallied again as buyers returned, finishing above its earlier intraday high. The equal-weight index rose 1.56 percent to 1,972,000 points. Per the report, 89 percent of listed tickers closed higher today and only 11 percent closed lower, while about 5,500 billion tomans of retail money flowed into the stock market.

This marks the index's sixth consecutive daily gain, and according to Sahmino's own data, it has risen more than 2 percent in three of the last four sessions. The rally came as the free market dollar and gold also stayed elevated; the dollar entered the 236,000 toman range today, and the Emami gold coin traded around 239 million tomans.

Tehran Stock Exchange Ends Choppy Session With Main Index Up 0.47 Percent

Tehran's main index (TEDPIX) closed Wednesday, September 16, 2026 (25 Shahrivar 1405) up 0.47 percent, or 35,679 points, at 7,557,642 points, according to data recorded as of 13:24 Tehran time. Total market turnover reached roughly 60.7 trillion tomans across more than 1,462,000 trades. The Farabourse index ended essentially flat at 58,193 points. According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the session opened with strong demand, with roughly 30 trillion tomans worth of buy orders logged at the pre-opening, but the index gave back part of its early gains as selling pressure increased through the day.

Alborz Insurance Wins Supplementary Health Contract for 455,000 Seminary Members
