Iran Energy Exchange Hit With 129.6 Billion Rial Tax Assessment, Company Says It Will Appeal

Iran Energy Exchange (TSE ticker: انرژی) said in a disclosure published on the Codal filing system on Saturday, 14 Shahrivar 1405 (September 5, 2026), that a tax assessment notice for the 1403 fiscal year, ending March 2025, set the company's tax liability at 129,635 million rials, about 11,429 million rials more than the 111,206 million rials the company had declared.
The company said it disputes the assessment due to a disagreement over the tax calculation method, and will file an objection with supporting documents to the tax authority within the legal deadline. Iran Energy Exchange said it will disclose the outcome once the matter is resolved through the relevant legal channels.
