Macron Orders Mobilization of Resources to Secure France's Fuel Supply

Citing RIA Novosti, Iran's ISNA news agency reported that French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered his government to mobilize resources to secure a stable fuel supply and contain prices, while also sourcing fuel from other countries in the coming days and weeks. A French government spokesperson said about 10 percent of the country's gas stations, most operated by TotalEnergies, are short of at least one type of fuel. French officials also discussed European measures to limit price increases in the refining sector.
According to the report, prices have risen since regional Middle East conflict intensified, with automotive diesel climbing from 1.70 euros to 2.30 euros per liter and SP95 E10 gasoline rising to 2.10 euros per liter. Protests by fishermen in southern France and road blockades near a major oil depot have also begun.

US House Passes Bill Tightening Sanctions on Iran and Russia
