Gold and coin rebound in Tuesday evening trade; Emami coin nears 185 million tomans as premium shrinks
Tehran's gold and coin market reversed its morning slide on the evening of Tuesday, 21 July 2026. As gold and the dollar rose, the Emami coin's premium (the so-called bubble) narrowed markedly, easing to around 5 million tomans. The evening rebound in the domestic market was driven mainly by the higher free-market dollar rate and the swing in the global gold ounce near the 4,000 dollar area.
