Saipa Diesel starts production of Iran's first domestically built automatic light trucks, with sales from the second half of 1405

Saipa Diesel began production of Iran's first domestically built automatic light trucks on its assembly lines on Tuesday, 28 July 2026. The vehicles are Foton 6 tonne and 8.5 tonne light trucks fitted with an AMT automatic gearbox and a new exterior design, and are due to reach the market in the second half of the Iranian year 1405.
The Foton M4 series had previously been offered only with a manual gearbox. Mahmoud Soheilnejad, chief executive of Saipa Diesel, said the vehicles have been added to the company's line-up to upgrade technology, improve safety and driver comfort, and can raise fleet productivity for transport and goods distribution companies. He said sourcing advanced electronic components remains one of the challenges of building them under current conditions.
Saipa Diesel said sales terms will be available to individual buyers as well as corporate customers, and that pricing and registration details will be published through the company's official announcements.

Bahman Diesel Announces Cash Sale Plan for Trucks in Shahrivar
According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, citing Tasnim, Bahman Diesel announced the terms of a cash sale plan for its commercial vehicles for Shahrivar 1405. Buyers can register on the company's sales platform from 10am on Wednesday, 11 Shahrivar (September 2) until 4pm on Wednesday, 26 Shahrivar (September 17), or until capacity is filled. The plan covers Force trucks, Impower and Baic single axle tractor trucks, Impower trucks, and Kapra B single cab pickups, with a 3 percent model year discount applied to base prices.
