Iran Market Pulse: Sunday Morning, July 19, 2026; Gram Gold Leaps Nearly 5% Into the 19-Million Channel as the Free-Market Dollar Sets a 194,500-Toman Record
On the morning of Sunday, 28 Tir 1404 (19 July 2026), the Tehran bourse reopens amid a multi-week slide. Saturday evening the free-market dollar hit a fresh record near 194,500 toman and a gram of 18-karat gold jumped almost 5% into the 19-million-toman channel; the less-watched twist was that because coins rose slower than gold, the Emami coin premium deflated about 19% to roughly 6 million toman.

Sunday morning. All eyes are on the dollar record, but today the coin premium melted about nineteen percent. The free dollar jumped over three percent Saturday to about one hundred ninety-four thousand five hundred toman. A gram of gold rose nearly five percent, but global gold stayed flat; the driver was the dollar, not the world. The gap between the free dollar and the exchange-center rate reached about forty-four thousand toman. A gram of eighteen-karat gold reached nineteen million toman, and the Emami coin about one hundred ninety million. The day's key number is gram gold: nineteen million toman, up nearly five percent in one day. Because coins rose slower than melt gold, the premium fell from about seven point two to six million toman. The main index closed Saturday down two point four four percent at four point seven eight million. It was the bourse's eighth straight negative session; retail outflows continue. Global crypto calmed; Bitcoin near sixty-four thousand dollars and Ethereum about one thousand eight hundred. Globally, Brent crude jumped over four percent to eighty-eight dollars, and spot gold held near four thousand. Dearer oil cuts both ways for Iran: it lifts export revenue but is the same risk lifting the dollar and gold. The yuan reached about twenty-eight thousand toman, and Iraq and Jordan revived the Basra-to-Aqaba pipeline plan. In steel, factory rebar was quoted at sixty-six to sixty-eight thousand toman per kilogram. In autos, the Pride is near one point one billion toman, and bulk Tehran cement about four million per tonne. Today, watch the bourse open, the exchange-center rate, the dollar record, and global gold and oil. Per news reports, Pakistan said Iran-U.S. mediation is alive and the Oman talks on Hormuz continue.
