At midday today, Tehran's bourse slipped again, while gold and the dollar pushed ahead in the parallel market. The overall index fell about one percent by midday to four million nine hundred thirteen thousand points. The engine of this drop is nearly four trillion tomans of retail money leaving on Monday. The tether proxy was near one hundred eighty three thousand tomans, the agreed dollar near one fifty thousand. Gold held near seventeen and a half million tomans a gram, the Emami coin near one seventy seven million. The free dollar is standing near its record, around one hundred eighty three thousand tomans. Global gold, which had fallen below four thousand dollars on Monday, climbed back above that line today. The overall index and the Farabourse index were both red in today's session. Bitcoin traded around sixty two thousand six hundred dollars and ethereum near one thousand seven hundred eighty. Brent crude held near eighty six dollars and West Texas near eighty dollars. Worry over Strait of Hormuz disruption is keeping both political risk and oil prices elevated. The Fed chair testifies to Congress today, and the market sees a higher chance of a rate hike. The Turkish lira was near forty seven and China's yuan near six point seven eight against the dollar. In steel, Aryan Foulad rebar was little changed near sixty five thousand tomans a kilo. Car pricing limbo continues, and the building materials market had a quiet day. The gap between the free and agreed dollar rates has reached about thirty three thousand tomans.
