This is Sahmino's Market Pulse for Wednesday, July eighth, covering today's oil license news. The US revoked Iran's oil license Tuesday night, after an attack on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude climbed near seventy six dollars, as state media reported explosions at Kharg Island. The free market dollar stood near one seventy five thousand tomans; the official rate was lower. Eighteen karat gold traded near seventeen million six hundred thousand tomans today. Brent crude is up nearly three percent today versus yesterday's close. Tehran's main index rose two point four percent, crossing five million three hundred thousand points. Retail investors added a net four thousand billion tomans to stocks on Tuesday. Bitcoin traded near sixty three thousand dollars, tether near one seventy five thousand tomans. Rebar from Neyshabur traded near sixty thousand tomans a kilogram, in a wait and see market. The Competition Council said the car price hike fell short of its own justified figure. The cement market was steady, with no fresh pressure from supply or demand. The dollar index held below one hundred one, spot gold traded near four thousand dollars. The UAE dirham rose nearly eight and a half percent against the rial on Monday. China's refiners cut Iranian oil imports in June to about six fifty thousand barrels a day. Ahead, the July seventeenth deadline and the Fed's July meeting are worth watching.
