Brent stood at $93.70 at 18:17 today; Tehran's free-market dollar closed Thursday evening at 1,894,050 rials. No individual stock is named; only the sectors themselves are examined.

Transcript

We screened Tehran's entire stock exchange to find the four sectors with the most momentum this week. Average three month returns across these four sectors range from about fifty to over one hundred percent. Oil refining, basic metals, banks, and automotive are driving Tehran's stock market this coming week. Brent crude hit ninety three dollars and seventy cents today, lifting oil refining stocks. But that same session, two large refiners opened two to three percent lower, a sign of profit taking. The one month return for basic metals leading name turned negative, right in the middle of a strong rally. A weakening rial still boosts dollar linked export revenue for metal producers. The leading bank's price to book ratio is still around eight tenths, even after this rally. Money is rotating from sectors that already hit records into banks that had lagged behind. The Competition Council called a fifteen percent car price hike insufficient, and that fight is still open. That very dispute is driving the rally in automotive stocks, and it is also the biggest risk. Behind all four picks stand two shared forces, the path of the dollar and the path of global oil. Sahmino's bottom line through August twenty first, none of these drivers is guaranteed. Watch the reopening, oil's path, the dollar, and the competition council's ruling this week. We named the top four sectors. Comment the word stock, and we will reveal our top pick in each one.
