Iran-Gulf Meeting on Strait of Hormuz Security Postponed at Saudi Request
Iran's Foreign Ministry had planned to meet Gulf Cooperation Council states and Iraq in Oman on September 14, 2026 on Strait of Hormuz security. Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said the same day Saudi Arabia asked for the meeting to be postponed, with no new date set. He added Iran and Oman have finalized a separate understanding on a temporary Hormuz shipping corridor.
