Iran records the first foreign transit consignment through the Khosravi border crossing

Iran has recorded the first transit of a foreign consignment through the Khosravi border crossing, bringing one of the country's least-used trade gateways into the transit network. The news was reported on Sunday 26 July 2026.
Khosravi, in Kermanshah province, is one of Iran's border crossings with Iraq and has in recent years been used mainly for pilgrim traffic. Opening it to goods transit could shift the balance of freight movement in western Iran and ease pressure on the busier crossings. The number and type of consignments and their final destination were not disclosed.

Georgia to Halt Iranian Airline Flights From September 20
