Mobarakeh Steel's 2 August 2026 AGM, for a year in which parent-company net profit reached about 100,300 billion tomans, kept the cash dividend to shareholders capped. Management tied the decision directly to damage from enemy attacks, saying a larger payout would normally have been made. The Foolad symbol has also been halted for most sessions since 28 February 2026.

Transcript

Mobarakeh Steel made close to one hundred thousand billion toe-mahns this year, but that is not the whole story. The AGM capped Mobarakeh Steel's shareholder dividend because of war damage. Parent company net profit for fiscal fourteen oh four reached about one hundred thousand billion toe-mahns. Billet output hit seven million and fifty four thousand tons, a thirty three year record. Earnings per share were five hundred eighteen ree-alz, but the dividend was just fifty five ree-alz. The Mobarakeh Steel symbol has been halted for most sessions since late February. Management said the decision was a direct result of war damage. A smaller dividend, a bigger reconstruction budget, and a production record, three marks the war left behind. The company's gas price jumped from about twenty eight hundred to sixteen thousand five hundred toe-mahns in a year. Mobarakeh Steel is close to one percent of Iran's economy and one of its largest industrial employers. Officials said this dividend was set based on damage from the war. In the weeks ahead, watch for the symbol to reopen and the next social spending report. What to watch: the symbol's reopening, reconstruction spending, and next year's gas prices.
