G7 Warns of Quantum Computing Threat to Cryptocurrency Security

The Group of Seven (G7), comprising Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, warned in a new report published Saturday, September 5, 2026 (14 Shahrivar 1405), that advances in quantum computing pose a serious threat to current economic infrastructure and cryptographic systems. According to Arzdigital, the group called on governments and the private sector to begin migrating to quantum resistant systems before quantum technologies can decrypt sensitive data. Per the report, while the G7 statement does not name cryptocurrencies directly, the public key algorithms underpinning blockchain and digital wallet security are vulnerable to the threat. Bitcoin developers are studying proposals such as BIP-360 for quantum resistant signatures, Ethereum researchers are working to replace cryptographic components in staking contracts, and the Solana network, which uses EdDSA signatures, has an easier migration path and has already tested post quantum signatures on its test network.

Zcash Tops $1,000 After First US Spot ETF Approval and SEC Closing Its Investigation

According to Arzdigital, the cryptocurrency Zcash topped 1,000 dollars for the first time on Friday, September 4, 2026 (13 Shahrivar 1405), reaching 1,023 dollars on Coinbase, up from under 50 dollars at the start of 2025. The jump followed the US Securities and Exchange Commission's decision in January 2026 to close a two year investigation into the Zcash Foundation without penalty, clearing the way for Grayscale to convert its fund into the first Zcash spot ETF, trading under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca, which now holds more than 414 million dollars in assets under management. Per the report, the rally came alongside the liquidation of more than 34.5 million dollars in short derivatives positions, which pushed the price up about 20 percent further in a short span. Zcash, long under regulatory pressure over its privacy focused design, has now returned to the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market value; analysts cited by Arzdigital described it as hard money comparable to bitcoin, with a 21 million unit supply cap, that also allows confidential transactions.

Illegal Crypto Mining in Iran Consumes 3,750 Megawatts; More Than 13,000 Unlicensed Farms Identified

According to Boursenews, published Friday, 13 Shahrivar 1405 (September 4, 2026), more than 13,000 unlicensed cryptocurrency mining farms have been identified in Iran, with power consumption reaching about 3,750 megawatts, equal to the electricity use of four Iranian provinces and about 8 percent of residential power consumption. Per the report, illegal crypto mining costs the country close to 2.5 billion dollars a year, and authorities have so far identified and seized more than 300,000 unlicensed mining rigs or units operating during restricted hours, with estimated consumption of about 1,300 megawatts. Boursenews writes that more than 70 percent of the discovered farms were located in residential areas, and state utility company Tavanir said identified violators, including illegal miners, will be barred from energy subsidies for one year and billed for their electricity use at the unsubsidized free market rate. According to the report, citizen reports of abnormal power use, equipment noise and voltage drops have played an effective role in identifying these facilities.

Binance Places Four Cryptocurrencies on Monitoring Tag List, Removes 14 Tokens From Binance Alpha

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance, according to Arzdigital, published Friday, 13 Shahrivar 1405 (September 4, 2026), added four tokens, AVA (Ava), GNS (Gains Network), SCR (Scroll) and TOWNS (Towns Protocol), to its "monitoring tag" list in its latest review, a label indicating these assets carry higher risk and volatility relative to other tokens listed on the exchange. At the same time, 14 tokens, including MTP, BDXN, TALE, BOS and SAROS, were removed from the curated "Binance Alpha" section. Binance said it will review monitoring tagged projects more frequently and may remove them from spot trading if they fail to maintain the exchange's standards, with review criteria including trading volume, liquidity, developer activity and smart contract stability. Users trading these assets on spot or margin markets must complete a risk awareness quiz every 90 days.

Ripple Reserves on Binance Fall to a Two Year Low

According to on chain data platform CryptoQuant, cited by Arzdigital, Ripple's average monthly reserves on Binance have fallen by about 500 million tokens since November, dropping from 3.1 billion to 2.6 billion XRP, the lowest level since February 2024. Analysts say part of the decline may reflect long term holders moving assets into private wallets, along with new institutional demand from XRP ETFs launched by firms such as Bitwise and Franklin Templeton in late 2025. Bitwise's XRP ETF held close to 364.8 million XRP as of the end of August 2026. XRP has risen about 8 percent this week and is now trading around $1.45. CryptoQuant described the falling exchange reserves as a moderately positive medium term signal, while cautioning that its direct, immediate effect on price in the short term is unclear.

Illegal Crypto Miners Are Consuming Power Equal to Four Iranian Provinces

Iranian officials say more than 13,000 illegal cryptocurrency mining farms are operating across the country, drawing about 3,750 megawatts of electricity, equal to the consumption of four provinces and nearly 8 percent of total household power use. Donya e Eqtesad reports the unauthorized mining causes roughly $2.5 billion in annual losses. More than 300,000 illegal mining rigs have been identified and seized so far, with an estimated combined load of about 1,300 megawatts, more than the capacity of the Bushehr nuclear plant. Over 70 percent of the discovered farms were located in residential areas. A spokesman for parliament's presiding board recently announced fast track approval of a bill to combat illegal electricity use for crypto mining. State utility Tavanir said identified violators will lose energy subsidies for one year and be billed at the unsubsidized free market electricity rate.

Ukrainian police dismantle crypto scam network earning $1 million a month

Ukraine's National Police, working with the country's Security Service, dismantled a large network of fake cryptocurrency investment platforms. According to ArzDigital, the network defrauded users in more than 20 countries and earned up to $1 million a month in illegal revenue. Based on initial reports from Ukrainian authorities, 62 victims have been identified so far, and the investigation continues to determine the exact scale of stolen assets and identify other victims. According to Ukrainian police, the operators built seemingly legitimate websites and advertised on Telegram to convince users to deposit funds, showing them a completely fabricated trading dashboard; when users requested withdrawals, the platform used a fake "additional verification" step to trick them into granting access to their wallets through so-called wallet-drainer tools.

Warning over fake Claude apps targeting users' crypto wallets

Security researchers at Morphisec warned about fake desktop applications using the name of Anthropic's Claude AI. According to ArzDigital, the malicious apps are distributed with promises of free access to advanced Claude models but contain infostealer malware called Revstealer. Morphisec said a fake app titled "Claude Opus 5 Free Desktop" was distributed via GitHub and, once installed, steals cryptocurrency wallet files, including from Atomic, Armory, Sparrow, Wasabi and Electrum, as well as Ledger and Trezor software, along with passwords and browser data from Windows users. The firm said the malware cannot directly decrypt a wallet at the initial stage, but if a user has reused or used a weak password, attackers may later gain access to the funds. Morphisec advised users to download AI software only from official websites and sources.

Coldcard wallet hacker moves stolen bitcoin after weeks of silence

An attacker linked to the third wave of Coldcard hardware wallet thefts has begun moving part of the stolen bitcoin after weeks of silence. According to ArzDigital, the hacker converted about 10% of the stolen assets to Ethereum via the THORChain protocol and moved the funds to a new Ethereum address; THORChain said it has shared the address details with law enforcement and security firms so the funds can be traced if moved again to centralized platforms. Before this transfer, about 87% of the stolen assets, roughly 1,789 bitcoin worth approximately $114 million, had remained in the original addresses. Investigations show the hacker ran into problems completing some transactions while using THORChain, though the exact cause is unclear.

The bill, which would set a federal framework dividing oversight of the digital asset market between the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), passed the US House of Representatives in July 2025 by a vote of 294 to 134, and the Senate Banking Committee advanced its own version in May 2026 by 15 votes to 9. Bitcoin Miners' Revenue Tops $1 Billion in August

According to Arzdigital, bitcoin network miners earned revenue of about 1.008 billion dollars in August 2026, their best monthly performance since May. Of that total, about 1.001 billion dollars came from block rewards and 7.1 million dollars from transaction fees, with the increase driven mainly by bitcoin's 24.95 percent price gain in August. Even so, the "hashprice" index, which measures daily revenue per petahash of processing power, held at around 38.86 dollars, still reflecting the economic pressure the recent halving has placed on miners. For hashprice to reach a healthier level of 100 dollars, bitcoin's price would need to climb to around 198,950 dollars, a gap that has pushed some large mining companies to diversify revenue by offering cloud computing services for artificial intelligence.

Pantera Capital CEO: A New Three-Year Bitcoin Bull Cycle Has Begun

Dan Morehead, founder and CEO of Pantera Capital, said in an interview with Bloomberg Crypto, carried by Arzdigital on Thursday, September 3, 2026 (12 Shahrivar 1405), that he believes bitcoin has entered a new three year bull cycle. Morehead said recent changes to US Treasury policy toward larger debt buybacks, combined with rising liquidity and weakening fiat currencies, could support a continued rally in scarce assets like bitcoin. Pointing to bitcoin's historical four year cycles, he said he still follows that pattern and believes the next upswing has begun. Morehead also cautioned that these policies do not resolve the core problem in the US economy, namely rising government debt. His comments reflect the analytical view of a well known crypto investor and should be read as such, not as a firm price forecast.

Global Crypto Funds Draw $3.2 Billion in a Week, Largest Since October 2025

According to Bank of America's weekly "The Flow Show" report, cited by CryptoBriefing and Iran's tgju.org on Sunday, 8 Shahrivar 1405 (August 30, 2026), global crypto investment funds recorded $3.2 billion in net inflows for the week ending Mordad 31, 1405 (August 22, 2026), the largest single week inflow since October 2025. The figure came just one week after the same funds had seen $392 million in outflows, marking a roughly $3 billion week over week swing. US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs did the heavy lifting, together pulling in about $2.6 billion, or 81 percent of the total. Bitcoin funds alone attracted $1.9 billion and Ethereum funds $697 million. Monthly Bitcoin ETF inflows for August 2026 also topped $3 billion, making it one of the strongest months on record for these funds. Bitcoin's price rose alongside the inflows, climbing into the $78,000 to $80,000 range; per Sahmino's own price data, bitcoin traded at $78,173 on Monday, 9 Shahrivar (August 31). For Iran's market, where tether and other cryptocurrencies track these same global prices, the return of institutional appetite for Bitcoin and Ethereum is one gauge of global demand direction; tether traded around 209,000 tomans in Iran's domestic market today.

Bitcoin Shows Muted Reaction to US Iran Escalation, Stays August's Top Performer

According to a CoinDesk report by Omkar Godbole published on the morning of Monday, 9 Shahrivar 1405 (August 31, 2026), bitcoin showed a relatively muted reaction to the US strike on Larak Island and the IRGC's retaliatory missile strikes on US bases in Jordan, even as oil prices rose and US stock indexes fell in response. The report said bitcoin remains August's best performing asset despite the escalation. Per Sahmino's own recorded data, bitcoin was trading at 77,473 dollars at 08:00 on Monday morning, down 1.85 percent (1,433 dollars), a far smaller move than the more than 2 percent jump in global oil prices attributed to the same developments earlier the same day. The crypto market's comparatively muted response stands in contrast to sharper swings in traditional markets, suggesting investors in the asset, at least so far, are not pricing the escalation between Iran and the United States as a systemic risk to bitcoin.

BIS Chief Says Stablecoins Are Not a Credible Payment Tool at Scale, Favors Tokenized Deposits

Pablo Hernandez de Cos, General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), said in comments reported by Reuters and carried by Donya e Eqtesad on Sunday, 8 Shahrivar 1405 (30 August 2026), that stablecoins cannot serve as a reliable payment tool at scale and that tokenized deposits should carry the bulk of everyday payments instead. He said stablecoins and tokenized deposits can coexist, but stablecoins should be limited mostly to specialized uses. De Cos warned that growing use of dollar linked stablecoins in some countries could weaken those countries' monetary sovereignty and reduce the pass through of domestic monetary policy. His remarks contrast with the position of US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who has backed stablecoins as a tool to reinforce the dollar's reserve status.

Hackers Exploit Software Bug to Steal $6 Million Across Six Cosmos Networks

Cosmos Labs said hackers exploited a vulnerability in the shared Cosmos EVM software layer, which affected more than 40 blockchains, to steal about 6 million dollars in assets from six networks in the ecosystem, including Mantra, TAC and KiiChain. According to the report, about 2.87 million dollars was drained through decentralized exchanges and another 2.85 million dollars through centralized exchanges, with the Mantra network suffering the largest loss after 720.9 million tokens were moved without authorization. Cosmos Labs confirmed it received the bug report on April 25, 2026, and patched it quietly in May, but said the public disclosure of technical details in August let hackers begin their attack within less than 12 hours. Following the incident, 13 of the 40 networks it contacted managed to pause activity or apply the fix before being exploited.

According to Cointelegraph, bitcoin had climbed near 80,000 dollars earlier the same day, but the rally stalled and prices fell after Warsh remained skeptical of recent, softer US inflation readings. The pullback coincided with a roughly 3 percent drop in global gold prices following the same speech, a sign that both risk assets and safe havens were hit as markets raised the odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike at its September meeting.

Galaxy Research: Bitcoin Set the Record for Its Largest Weekly Dollar Gain Ever

According to Arzdigital, in a report published Friday, 6 Shahrivar 1405 (August 28, 2026), Bitcoin rose by about $14,775 in the week ending Monday, 3 Shahrivar (August 25), which Galaxy Research says was the largest weekly dollar gain in the cryptocurrency's history. The price jumped from $62,818 to $77,593 over that period, a gain of 23.5 percent. Galaxy Research said that in percentage terms it ranked as the 41st largest weekly gain in Bitcoin's history and the strongest rally since March 2023 (Esfand 1401). The report said the rally was driven mainly by two factors: the US Treasury's announcement that it would double its long term bond buyback operations, and Donald Trump's call on Congress to pass the CLARITY Act on federal cryptocurrency classification, which triggered a broad short squeeze that liquidated about $2.7 billion in short positions. The market's Fear and Greed Index reached 74 on August 25, the highest level of trader optimism in the past year.

US Government Moves Portion of Seized Alameda Research Bitcoin Holdings

The US government moved a small amount of Bitcoin from accounts linked to Alameda Research that were seized from Binance.US about three years ago. According to Arzdigital, published Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar 1405 (August 26, 2026), blockchain tracking platform Arkham Intelligence flagged the transaction on August 26. Arkham did not disclose the exact amount transferred or the destination address, and said the move was not necessarily a sign of an asset sale, noting that transfers between wallets can also occur for custody, accounting or security management purposes. Wallets controlled by the US government have moved seized Alameda and bankrupt FTX exchange assets several times during 2026, including about $1.89 million in tokens in May and nearly $984,000 in June, both sent to Coinbase Prime.

Altcoin Share of Binance Trading Volume Hits Two Year High

Altcoins' share of trading volume on the Binance exchange has climbed to its highest level in two years amid the recent crypto market rally. According to Arzdigital, published Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar 1405 (August 26, 2026), CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said altcoins accounted for 65 percent of total Binance trading volume at the peak of the move, compared with 21 percent for Bitcoin and 13.6 percent for Ether. Total altcoin market value excluding Ether rose by about $135 billion over the same period. The report also cited the Altcoin Impulse index from the platform Altcoin Vector, which reached 93 percent, indicating the rally has spread across a large share of the altcoin market. However, the platform noted readings above 75 percent typically signal an overextended move and raise the likelihood of a pause or price correction.

Crypto Fear and Greed Index Hits Extreme Greed for the First Time Since 2024

CoinMarketCap's Fear and Greed Index reached 81 on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 (4 Shahrivar 1405), putting the crypto market in extreme greed territory for the first time since 2024. According to Arzdigital, the index stood at 41 (neutral) a week earlier and 36 a month earlier. The main driver was bitcoin's nearly 24 percent rally over the past seven days, which briefly took it above $80,000 and triggered about $2.7 billion in short position liquidations within 24 hours. Analysts pointed to a US Treasury Department announcement on increasing liquidity and buying back bonds as a key driver, while US bitcoin ETFs logged more than $1.1 billion in inflows over just two trading days. Experts warned that entering the extreme greed zone can signal an overheated market and a higher chance of a price correction.

Ethereum Core Developers Draft a Quantum Resistant Upgrade Proposal

According to Arzdigital, published Tuesday, Shahrivar 3, 1405 (August 25, 2026), Ethereum's core developers have drafted a proposal to upgrade the network's Deposit Contract in preparation for the "post-quantum era." The proposal, drafted by researchers including Kevaundray Wedderburn, is built on the EIP-7685 standard and would let the network eventually replace its current BLS digital signature scheme with algorithms resistant to quantum computers. According to the report, unlike the current system, the new contract would support public keys and signatures of variable length, letting validators use a range of cryptographic schemes, while the existing system remains active for backward compatibility. The proposal is currently only at the draft stage on GitHub and must clear security review, technical analysis by client teams, and approval at Ethereum developer meetings before any adoption in a mainnet upgrade.

Bitfinex: Bitcoin's Recent Rally Is More Spot Buying Than Leverage; $68,000 to $69,000 Is Key Support

According to Arzdigital, analysts at the Bitfinex exchange said in a report that bitcoin's recent rally to its highest levels in several months has been driven more by spot buying than by leveraged trading. Per the report, while bitcoin's price rose 10 to 11 percent, open interest increased by only 4 percent, which Bitfinex said shows the rally's main driver was genuine buyers rather than credit and leverage, which typically set the stage for sudden crashes. The report also cited $608.3 million in net inflows into bitcoin ETFs on August 20 (29 Mordad) as a sign of returning institutional demand. Bitfinex described the $68,000 to $69,000 range, where traders' average purchase price over the past five months sits, as the most important support level, saying that holding above that range would ease selling pressure. It also warned that a rise in transfers of profitable bitcoin to exchanges could lead to the largest profit taking wave of 2026.

Binance Launches Direct AI Bot Trading System Built on Anthropic's Open Source MCP Protocol

According to Arzdigital, Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, announced the launch of a new protocol called Binance Agent OS, which lets AI models connect directly to the exchange's spot, margin and futures markets and trade without informal intermediaries. Per the report, the system runs on Anthropic's open source MCP protocol, and users can move assets into dedicated "AI sub accounts" to limit the risk from bot activity; Binance has placed limits on direct withdrawals by AI, but responsibility for losses from failed trades or liquidations still rests with the user. Arzdigital writes that Binance is not alone in this space, noting that at least five other major platforms, including Coinbase and Gemini, have introduced similar systems in the past 30 days. Analysts cited in the report flagged behavioral correlation as a key concern, warning that bots relying on the same underlying AI model could react in similar ways during moments of market stress.

Coinbase Wins License to Launch Tokenized Securities Hub in Abu Dhabi

US exchange Coinbase said on Thursday, August 20, 2026 (29 Mordad 1405) that it had received the regulatory license it needed from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) to launch an international hub for tokenizing assets. The move builds on Coinbase's Project Diamond in Abu Dhabi, which previously used the Base blockchain and the USDC stablecoin and focused on debt instruments, and is now expanding into tokenizing large company equities. Arvind Ramamurthy, ADGM's director of market development, described the license in a statement as part of an effort to improve capital market access. After a Year on the Run in Fiji, Suspect in $165 Million Crypto Fraud Extradited to the US

The US Department of Justice said Edward Zimbardi, the alleged mastermind of a $165 million crypto Ponzi scheme, was extradited to the United States on August 14 (23 Mordad) after more than a year on the run in Fiji, with the cooperation of Fijian authorities, the FBI and the US State Department. Prosecutors say Zimbardi lost more than $34 million of the funds in high risk foreign currency trading, used new investors' money to pay returns to earlier ones, a hallmark of Ponzi schemes, and spent at least $10 million on personal expenses including luxury cars and housing for his family. Ethereum Developers Weigh Encrypting the Mempool to Counter Sandwich Bots

According to Arzdigital, published Tuesday, August 18, 2026 (27 Mordad 1405), Ethereum developers are examining a new defense against predatory trading bots that monitor pending transactions in the mempool before they are finalized on the blockchain to front run users, a practice known as a sandwich attack. In this scheme, bots buy ahead of a large detected purchase order and sell immediately after the resulting price move, at the user's expense. One of the main proposals, EIP-8184, known as LUCID, would require block builders to commit to sealed versions of transactions without knowing their contents, with decryption information released only after a transaction's position in the block is finalized. The proposal's authors say no known encryption scheme currently satisfies both quantum computer resistant security and optimal data size simultaneously, and researchers plan to review alternative proposals as well.

In a Rare Day, Bitcoin Outperforms the S&P 500

According to Arzdigital, published on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 (27 Mordad 1405), Bitcoin posted a rare day of sharply outperforming the S&P 500 on Monday, 17 August (26 Mordad). Arzdigital, citing analysis from blockchain analytics firm Glassnode, said Bitcoin has outperformed the S&P 500 on only about one third of trading days over the past three months, despite historically moving in high correlation with the equity rally. SafePal, the hardware wallet maker, said in an official statement today, Monday, 26 Mordad 1405 (August 17, 2026), that a security flaw had exposed the personal information of nearly 39,798 users. According to ArzDigital, the flaw stemmed from an authentication error in one of its order tracking plugins and exposed users' names, emails, mailing addresses, phone numbers and purchase details from March 2025 to April 2026. SafePal stressed that sensitive data such as recovery phrases, private keys, wallet passwords and bank account details were not exposed and that user assets remain fully secure. The company said the flaw has now been fixed, it has cut its personal data retention period to 90 days, and it has identified and blocked more than 30 phishing websites and links tied to the incident. SafePal warned users to never enter their recovery phrase on any website, since the company will never request one.

El Salvador's Government Bitcoin Holdings Reach 7,743 BTC as Daily Purchases Continue

The government of El Salvador continues to purchase bitcoin almost daily, and according to a report published today, Monday, 26 Mordad 1405 (August 17, 2026), by ArzDigital, its holdings now stand at 7,743 bitcoin, worth about 490 million dollars. Per the report, the country has never sold a single unit of its bitcoin holdings since launching its government purchase program. The trend shows El Salvador's government remains committed to its long term bitcoin accumulation strategy, even as the global bitcoin price trades today near 62,900 dollars. Zero sales since the program began has made the country one of the world's most closely watched government bitcoin holders.

World Gold Council CEO: Bitcoin Will Eventually Fall to Zero

David Tait, CEO of the World Gold Council (WGC), predicted in remarks that recirculated widely on social media again this week that bitcoin's price will eventually fall to zero. According to ArzDigital, Tait made the comments in an earlier interview with David Lin at the Consensus Miami conference, saying: "My personal opinion on bitcoin is that it will go to zero... that's just my personal opinion and my instinct as a trader." He argued that instead of acting as a hedge, bitcoin shows a strong correlation with risk assets and equity indexes during periods of financial market turmoil, while gold continues to be favored as a safe haven by central banks during recession fears and geopolitical shocks. Tait also distinguished bitcoin from stablecoins, saying stablecoins have a clear use in payments due to their price stability. The comments come as the World Gold Council is simultaneously developing infrastructure to tokenize gold by 2026. The prediction reflects the personal view of the head of a gold industry body, not a consensus among market analysts.

UBS Reports 24-Fold Jump in Call Option Exposure to BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF

Swiss banking giant UBS, which manages more than $7 trillion in assets, increased its call-option exposure to BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) by more than 24-fold in the second quarter of this year, according to a regulatory filing this week. Per CoinDesk, the bank held calls representing 1.95 million underlying IBIT shares as of June 30 (9 Tir 1405), up from just 80,000 shares three months earlier. The same filing shows UBS's direct IBIT holdings rose 12% to 407,890 shares, worth about $13.6 million, while its put-option exposure fell roughly 53% to 143,300 underlying shares. CoinDesk noted the filing does not specify whether the increase reflects client demand, dealer hedging, or the bank's own directional position.

Russia Bans Crypto Mining in Moscow and Parts of Kursk Through 2032

Moscow and parts of Russia's Kursk region were banned from cryptocurrency mining and mining-pool participation through the end of December 2032, under government decree No. 936, which was signed on 3 Mordad 1405 (July 25, 2026) and published on 9 Mordad (July 31). According to CoinDesk, Russia's Energy Ministry said the nationwide restriction is meant to reduce the risk of power-capacity shortages on the country's grid. Per Luxor's Hashrate Index, Russia accounted for an estimated 16.4% of global bitcoin computing power (about 175 exahashes per second) in the first quarter of this year, placing it second behind the United States. Crypto mining currently consumes roughly 1 gigawatt on the Moscow power grid, the report said.

JPMorgan Quietly Cut Banking Ties With Polymarket Since Last October; US DOJ Probes Crypto Client Debanking

According to ArzDigital, citing the Financial Times, JPMorgan cut its banking relationship with prediction market platform Polymarket last October, a move now referred to as debanking that has only recently come to light. The decision followed the CFTC's earlier enforcement action against Polymarket for operating without a license. Polymarket, however, still maintains ties to some of the bank's units for operations and client fund flow management, and JPMorgan could in the future act as an underwriter for the platform's IPO, at a possible valuation of $15 billion. The disclosure comes as the US Department of Justice investigates nine major banks, including JPMorgan, over allegations they unfairly closed customer accounts in sectors such as crypto for political or regulatory reasons.

Bitcoin Tests Key $62,500 Support Ahead of the Weekend

According to ArzDigital on Saturday, August 15, 2026 (24 Mordad 1405), the crypto market faced mounting sell pressure heading into the Gregorian weekend. Bitcoin, trading around $62,900, is testing the key $62,500 support that marks the floor of a five week trading range. Data from the Bitfinex exchange shows about 1.79 million bitcoin, roughly 9 percent of circulating supply, was bought in the $62,000 to $65,000 range, making that band a breakeven point for a large share of traders. Despite upbeat US inflation data, bitcoin failed six separate attempts between August 5 and 10 to hold above $65,000 resistance, and spot bitcoin ETFs recorded outflows of more than $289 million over the same period. ArzDigital's analysts warn that escalating Persian Gulf tensions combined with thinner weekend liquidity could break the $62,500 support, sending the price first to $60,000 and then toward lower levels.

Tokenization Stocks Fall After US SEC Again Delays Crypto Securities Exemption

Shares of tokenization focused companies including Bullish, Coinbase and Circle fell on Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), after the US Securities and Exchange Commission again delayed its planned "innovation exemption" for tokenized securities and canceled a scheduled meeting on proposed crypto offering rules. According to CoinDesk, Bullish shares fell about 8 percent and Circle dropped nearly 4 percent, while Uniswap's UNI token fell 7 percent, the biggest loser on the CoinDesk 20 index. Owen Lau, managing director and senior analyst at Clear Street, called the delay a temporary "speed bump" for tokenization rather than the end of the trend, noting that traditional exchanges including Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange are still building infrastructure for round the clock trading.

US Bank Regulator Grants Trump Linked World Liberty a Conditional Bank Charter

The US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said on Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), that it has granted World Liberty Trust Company, a venture tied to the Trump family, "preliminary conditional approval" to operate as a national trust bank. According to CoinDesk, the OCC's letter said World Liberty Trust will take over issuance of the dollar backed USD1 stablecoin from BitGo and provide digital asset custody services to institutional clients. Final approval is contingent on the company meeting additional preopening requirements. World Liberty filed its charter application in January this year and faced opposition from Democratic lawmakers, including Senator Elizabeth Warren, over its ties to President Donald Trump, who appoints the regulators overseeing agencies such as the OCC. After the approval was announced, Warren and several other senators said they would introduce a bill to bar senior government officials from owning or controlling a bank.

Bitcoin Miners' Fee Revenue Share Falls to Lowest Since 2016

According to Bourse News, in a report published Thursday, August 13, 2026 (22 Mordad 1405), data from on chain analytics platform Glassnode shows the share of transaction fees in bitcoin miners' total revenue has fallen to 0.52 percent, the lowest level since 2016. Glassnode said the last time this share was this low, bitcoin's price was below 400 dollars. The platform said rising electricity costs across much of the world have also squeezed mining profitability and pushed smaller miners out of the market. According to the crypto news site that carried the report, data from analytics firm Checkonchain shows the average cost to produce one bitcoin reached 78,254 dollars as of August 11 (20 Mordad), about 23 percent above the cryptocurrency's spot price at the time. Ripple Whales Bought 380 Million XRP Tokens Near the Price Floor in a Week

According to Arzdigital, in a report published Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), Ripple's XRP token, which recently fell below the psychological one dollar level for the first time this year, is still struggling to hold that mark, but data shows large investors, known as whales, have used the drop as a buying opportunity. In the 24 hours to Friday, whales bought about 72 million XRP worth roughly $72 million, and market analyst Ali Martinez said large wallets have accumulated more than 380 million of the token over the past week. Martinez had previously flagged $1.06 as the most critical technical level for XRP, warning that a break below it could push the price down toward $0.62. Data from CryptoQuant also showed sell side pressure on Binance has reached its highest level since May, a factor that could slow a faster price recovery.

Binance to Halt Transfers With HTX and 10 Other Platforms

Crypto exchange Binance said Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), according to Arzdigital, that starting August 23, 2026 (1 Shahrivar 1405), it will halt all direct deposit and withdrawal transfers to and from HTX (formerly known as Huobi) and 10 other platforms. The report said the move follows European Union Council regulation 2848 of 2026, which bans transactions with 14 crypto and payment platforms, including HTX, EXMO and Exnode Pay. Users have nine days to complete pending transactions, and any assets sent after the deadline will be frozen and reviewed by Binance's compliance unit. The report said HTX has come under pressure over allegations it provided financial services to Russian payment networks, and the UK earlier froze the Panama based parent company's assets over links to a network known as A7. The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has also filed a complaint against the exchange in London's High Court over allegedly unlawful crypto advertising. Record $10.8 Million Outflow of Morpho Tokens From Exchanges Recorded

According to Arzdigital, in a report published Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), data from analytics platform Santiment shows traders withdrew more than 5.59 million Morpho (MORPHO) tokens from crypto exchanges in a single day, worth about 10.8 million dollars, the largest net outflow of the token since trading began in November 2024. The volume equals roughly 0.85 percent of Morpho's circulating supply and nearly 94 percent of its average daily trading volume. Santiment said on X that the rapid drop in exchange supply means fewer coins are readily available for immediate sale, lowering the risk of sudden sell walls forming. However, Arzdigital reported that despite an earlier 175 million dollar funding round from investment firms Paradigm and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and a partnership with the Robinhood platform, Morpho's price remains about 53 percent below its January 2025 peak of 4.17 dollars, and analysts say the drop in exchange supply alone, without fresh demand from retail buyers, will not be enough to drive a sustained rally.

Wall Street Journal Seeks Dismissal of Binance Defamation Suit Over Iran Sanctions Reporting

According to Arzdigital, in a report published Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), lawyers for the Wall Street Journal asked federal Judge Paul Engelmayer to dismiss a defamation lawsuit filed against the newspaper by crypto exchange Binance. The case stems from Wall Street Journal reports alleging that Binance undermined its own internal compliance efforts and allowed more than one billion dollars in transactions tied to Iran sanctioned entities. Katherine Bolger, the newspaper's attorney, told the court that Binance has not disputed the underlying facts of the reporting and objects only to how it was framed. Christopher Lavigne, Binance's attorney, countered that the Wall Street Journal presented a misleading account that falsely suggested the exchange had halted its internal investigation. Binance has said the investigation continued after the employees in question left and that suspicious accounts were frozen. Judge Engelmayer, after hearing arguments from both sides, deferred a final ruling on whether to dismiss the case. Arzdigital reported that CryptoQuant analysts cited a Coinbase premium index that has stayed negative for three straight months, falling inflows into spot bitcoin ETFs, and thinner trading volume on centralized exchanges as reasons for bitcoin's inability to sustain a rally. MSCI Proposes New Rule That Could Exclude Bitcoin Holding Firms From Its Global Indexes

Index provider MSCI has opened a new consultation that could lead to the exclusion of so called non operating companies from its Global Investable Market Indexes, a category that may capture major publicly listed bitcoin holders such as Strategy and Metaplanet. According to CoinDesk, in a report published Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), the proposed rule uses a two step screen: first checking whether a company's operating assets exceed 50 percent of total assets, and if not, evaluating five financial ratios, with failure on at least four of them making a company ineligible for index inclusion. Based on May 2026 data cited by CoinDesk, applying the screen would have resulted in the removal of three companies, Strategy, Metaplanet and uranium holder Yellow Cake, from the MSCI ACWI IMI Index. Strategy, holding about 840,447 bitcoin worth roughly $53.18 billion, is the largest publicly listed holder of the cryptocurrency, while Tokyo listed Metaplanet holds 43,000 bitcoin worth more than $2 billion. MSCI said it is taking feedback from market participants through September 30, and that any resulting changes would not take effect before the index's November 2026 review.

USENIX 2026 Study Flags Over 65,000 Risky Addresses on Ethereum and BNB Chain

A study presented at USENIX Security 2026, reported Thursday, August 13, 2026 (22 Mordad 1405), identified 65,340 risky addresses across the Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain networks. According to the researchers, these addresses are linked to losses of 126,982.94 ETH and 17,726.7 BNB, valued at more than $574.8 million using May 2025 reference prices. Per the report, which CryptoSlate also confirmed, 49,344 cases involved contract account address misuse and 15,996 involved accounts with exposed private keys. Two newly identified attack vectors, one exploiting the EIP-7702 feature and another exploiting undeployed contract addresses, together account for about $15.7 million, or 2.7 percent of the total estimate. The researchers recommended that wallets provide clearer warnings about exposed private keys and cross-network contract address mismatches.

US SEC Postpones Meeting on New Crypto Rule 'Reg Crypto' Without Setting a New Date

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said in an end of day statement on Thursday, August 13, 2026 (22 Mordad 1405), that it is postponing this week's Friday meeting, at which it had planned to unveil its first major digital assets rulemaking, known as Reg Crypto, to a later, unspecified date, citing an unforeseen scheduling issue. According to CoinDesk, the rule was expected to create a limited framework for issuing crypto securities without triggering full SEC registration requirements. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins had previously described the rulemaking as a central piece of his digital assets regulatory plan. CoinDesk reported that a parallel effort, the innovation exemption for tokenizing securities, is also likely to be delayed. The US crypto industry is meanwhile watching the fate of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in the Senate, whose progress also remains uncertain; the upshot of the delays is continued regulatory ambiguity for crypto market participants, including traders of the USDT stablecoin in non-US markets such as Iran.

Kazakhstan Offers Three Year Tax Break to Lure Back Crypto Assets That Left the Country

According to Bourse News, Kazakhstan's government has signed a decree designed to encourage citizens to declare their crypto asset holdings, move them onto regulated domestic platforms, and bring back capital that left the country or went underground about five years ago after authorities cracked down on miners' heavy electricity use. Under the decree, private investors will receive a three year exemption from personal income tax on digital asset trading profits, provided the assets are not linked to fraud, money laundering or unlicensed crypto services. Kazakhstan became the world's second largest bitcoin mining hub after the United States following China's 2021 mining ban, but the sudden influx of miners strained the country's aging power grid. In October 2021, a surge in electricity demand knocked out three power plants in the country's northeast, with miners consuming about eight percent of Kazakhstan's total electricity output at peak. Authorities responded by repeatedly tightening power consumption rules, which pushed a share of miners out of the country; the new decree is now an attempt to bring that same capital back.

Bank of Russia Proposes Allowing Bitcoin and Ethereum Trading on Licensed Domestic Exchanges

According to Bourse News, Russia's central bank published a draft regulation on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405) that would allow trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether on the country's official exchanges, following President Vladimir Putin's signing of a law formally legalizing crypto trading in Russia. Under the proposed framework, retail investors (about 98 percent of Russia's crypto market participants) would need to pass a qualifying test before trading starting September 1, and their annual purchase limit through licensed intermediaries would be capped at 300,000 rubles (about $3,690), while qualified investors could trade without that limit. The central bank said it chose the three assets because each has at least five years of price history on foreign trading platforms, high liquidity and significant market value. Under the framework, digital assets could be used to settle cross border transactions but would remain banned as a domestic means of payment. Standard Chartered Sets $200 Chainlink Target for 2030, Implying 27-Fold Upside

According to Arzdigital, Standard Chartered set a $200 price target for the Chainlink (LINK) cryptocurrency by 2030 in a report published by Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405), implying nearly 27-fold upside from current levels. The bank forecasts Chainlink could reach $13 by the end of this calendar year and $41 by 2027, the report said. Geoff Kendrick, Standard Chartered's head of digital assets research, cited the growth of tokenized real-world assets (RWA), projected to rise from $340 billion currently to $4 trillion by the end of 2028, as the main driver, saying wider use of Chainlink's CCIP protocol for moving tokenized assets, in partnership with firms including JPMorgan, Mastercard and Swift, could lift the network's revenue by up to 25-fold. Chainlink currently secures more than $110 billion in value locked and holds a 70 percent share of the DeFi oracle market, according to the report. Ravencoin Price Drops 19 Percent After Security Flaw Discovery Splits the Network

According to Arzdigital, the Ravencoin project said by Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405), that it had identified a critical vulnerability in its network consensus mechanism, one that had been exploited since August 7, 2026 (16 Mordad) and allowed some vulnerable nodes to accept invalid blocks as valid. The first invalid block identified was recorded at block height 4,487,776. An investigation by mining pool 2Miners found the flaw stemmed from improper validation of the block-height field in the KAWPOW algorithm, which allowed invalid blocks to be produced more cheaply than normal mining. News of the flaw triggered heavy selling pressure on Ravencoin, with its price falling about 19.1 percent to $0.00288 and its market value dropping to about $47.3 million. Developers warned that major pools including 2Miners and RavenMiner are mining a recovery chain, and that if this chain becomes dominant, a deep reorganization could invalidate transactions from the past three days; exchanges Upbit and Bitget have suspended deposits and withdrawals of the coin as a result.

North Korea's Crypto Money-Laundering Increasingly Relies on Chinese Criminal Networks, RUSI Report Says, Citing $2.8 Billion in Thefts

According to Arzdigital, a new report from the UK's Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), published by Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405), found that North Korea has become more reliant than before on criminal networks and international scam gangs to launder stolen cryptocurrency. The report, written by Allison Owen and Noemi Tambe, said North Korea-linked hackers stole at least $2.8 billion in digital assets between January 2024 and September 2025, funds believed to partly finance the country's weapons program. The report found that ownership of stolen assets often changes hands before being cashed out, with a network of over-the-counter brokers, peer-to-peer traders and rented accounts held by intermediaries in the Philippines, Indonesia and China used to cash out funds in small amounts, around $7,000 per transaction. The report also cited the roughly $1.5 billion hack of the Bybit exchange in February 2025, saying about 95 percent of the stolen assets had been converted to cash by September 2025, though Bybit has so far recovered $48.4 million and frozen another $30.5 million of the funds.
