The Tehran bourse just closed a month of records, up twenty one point eight percent, and the coin still beat it. Over the past month the coin rose twenty five point four percent and bitcoin twenty two point seven. On Sunday the main index reached six million seven hundred twenty three thousand points, a fresh record. The same day the free dollar fell one point eight five percent, exactly what the index gained. The equal weight index and the Farabourse index both moved their own closing records too. On Saturday, though, retail investors were net sellers of one point two billion shares. This morning the pre open board showed three things: buy queues, one year highs and a price cap. Khouzestan Steel opened on a two point four billion share queue, at three and a half times average volume. The dollar came back from two hundred twenty seven thousand tomans to two hundred twenty three thousand. The Emami coin is at two hundred thirty four million tomans, just below its one year high. Brent reached ninety seven dollars and tanker war insurance hit ten percent of a vessel's value. On the mercantile exchange, rebar settled near eighty two thousand tomans a kilogram. The Yas silver fund reopens today, and a coin auction and a bond auction follow on Wednesday. The verdict: the month belonged to the coin, not the bourse, and our reading above six and a half million held. So the answer to the opening question: the coin won.
